Bruno Lemos
Founder and Head Coach
Bruno Lemos is a 3rd degree Black Belt under Alexandre Paiva (Alliance). He was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by a friend at the beginning of 1999 back in his hometown in Brazil and has now over 23 years of experience in the martial art.
Bruno believes that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is not only a sport, self-defence system or fitness program, but much more than all that – it is a lifestyle that improves the whole life of an individual.

What are the belts in Jiu Jitsu?

Differently from some other Academies, at Lemos there is no final exam to be done in order to graduate to the level up colour. Here we track your evolution class by class, that is why you attendance is crucial for your evolution. Apart from the black belt, each belt rank (kids and adults) can have up to four degrees, awarded through the months, based on skill level.
